The fifth video game manufactured by Nintendo is set to become the biggest selling video game system ever. The Wii stands out from the rest of the video game systems with its wireless remote that enables players to move freely. No doubt the Nintendo wii is the most modern video game system in the market today.

As a footnote, the Wii was actually not named after the company that manufactured it. It is simply named Wii, with a codename of Revolution and E3 before it was formally launched. Wii was chosen as the nick because it sounds like 'we', thus emphasizing that the system is for multiple gamers. In effect the system promotes the interaction between the Wii and the players.

However, the name has become the topic of jokes among many users because it also refers to the American slang referring to urination.

But the Wii soon gathered popularity among video gamers. The Wii seemed to create buzz simply on its name, and this has led many to believe that the catchy and intriguing name had something to do with its marketability even to casual gamers.

Perhaps what is remarkable with the Wii is how this came from nowhere to beat other established and well-promoted gaming consoles in the gaming industry. Credit that to the fact that the Wii arguably has the best video system, as well as a catchy name. Indeed, the Wii is the hottest name in the video gaming industry, and it is definitely here to stay.
